Telecommunications system technology is constantly evolving, enabling large-scale system development and integrating telecommunications systems with other devices such as security devices, control devices, etc., thereby creating complex and tangled connection systems. 

A structured cabling system, making connections for all devices that support operations, especially critical operations allows flexibility and speed in running many applications. Structured cabling makes it easier to control all data traffic such as voice, data, and video and maintain continuous connectivity without stopping by utilizing cable/hardwire as a connection system such as Optical Fiber, Twisted Cable, Copper Cable, Coaxial Cable, etc., which aim to:

  • Creating a systematic arrangement of cables, preventing cable tangling, so cables are neat and clean, the construction is easy and simple, with easy tracking, replacement, and identification, increasing installation productivity and avoiding cable damage from rodents
  • Has security against potential mechanical loss or damage
  • Easy to upgrade/add new cable pulls and optimize the ability to add capacity (Scalability)
  • Minimizing operational costs and eliminating significant network downtime
  • Consistent cable installation according to its designation and create standardized network cabling that will support more than one manufacturer’s applications, so, can define a common structured cabling system to make it easier to find suppliers of cables and accessories, especially at installation locations, thereby speeding up the procurement process.

Implementation of structured cabling will be easy and optimal if done by utilizing one brand, single manufacturer, or end-to-end manufacturer, but is constrained by several manufacturers who do not have a complete end-to-end solution for the system to be built.
