perangkat didasarkan pada frekuensi radio yang beroperasi antara frekuensi 30 MHz (Megahertz) dan 1000 MHz, juga dikenal sebagai 1 GHz (Gigahertz) (umumnya menggunakan frekuensi UHF atau VHF), dan di mana jalur komunikasi bergerak di kedua ujungnya. Radio Bergerak Digital (Digital Mobile Radio) atau singkatnya DMR adalah standar atau protokol terbuka untuk Radio Bergerak Digital (Digital Mobile Radio) yang ditentukan oleh Institut Standar Telekomunikasi Eropa\/European Telecommunication Standards Institute(ETSI) dan digunakan dalam produk komersial di seluruh dunia. Perangkat Tier 1, Radio Bergerak Digital (Digital Mobile Radio \/ DMR) paling cocok untuk individu, tempat rekreasi, pengecer kecil, atau situasi lain yang tidak memerlukan cakupan area yang luas.<\/li><li>Tier - II (berlisensi konvensional): Tingkat ini dimaksudkan sebagai pengganti langsung untuk sistem radio analog\/konvensional. Sistem Radio Bergerak Digital (Digital Mobile Radio) ini beroperasi di bawah lisensi individu yang bekerja dalam Mode Langsung (unit-ke-unit) atau menggunakan Base Station (BS) untuk pengulangan. Ini memiliki tingkat cakupan area yang luas dan ditargetkan pada pengguna yang \u201cmembutuhkan efisiensi spektral, fitur suara tingkat lanjut, dan layanan data IP terintegrasi dalam pita berlisensi untuk komunikasi berdaya tinggi.\u201d<\/li><li>Tier III (trunked license): Sistem trunking Radio Bergerak Digital (Digital Mobile Radio \/ DMR) beroperasi di bawah lisensi individu dengan fungsi pengontrol yang mengatur komunikasi secara otomatis. Ini juga mendukung layanan data paket dalam berbagai format, termasuk dukungan untuk IPv4 dan IPv6.
